About me...
Welcome to the "Mungleworzel" website!
The journey getting here began in April 2020 amidst the UK Covid lockdown. This served as an excellent opportunity to learn the skillset of photography. I purchased a second hand DSLR body, together with two lenses, and away I went on my own journey of discovery.
Almost four years have passed since then, and much has taken place during that time.
Some people get their kicks from throwing themselves out of a perfectly serviceable aeroplane (with a parachute), whilst others are sufficiently content with knitting those delightful covers one see's on top of post boxes here in the UK. Wildlife photography is an activity which brings me a lot of pleasure! It requires robust ethics, planning, field craft, technique, patience, and some good fortune to achieve quality photos of one's subjects in this genre of photography.
I primarily shoot handheld, using a full frame, mirrorless digital camera (with silent shutter), and a variety of telefoto lenses.
I specialise in intimate wildlife scenes, where the animal, or bird is often within a few meters of me.
I hope you enjoy the website, as much as I have had the pleasure of photographing these wildlife scenes.
